Guarding Your Tax Dollars - Preserving Mesa County
Mesa County is where we work hard, raise our families, build our businesses, and invest in the future. It’s a place where neighbors care for one another and where conservative values still matter.
We all want the same things: financial stability, transparency from our government, and assurance that our tax dollars are being handled with integrity and care.
That’s why I’m running for Mesa County Treasurer—to bring business-minded leadership, fiscal discipline, and conservative stewardship to one of the most important financial roles in local government.
I’ll protect your tax dollars, streamline operations, and ensure every penny is accounted for with honesty and transparency.
I’d be honored to earn your support—and your vote—in November 2026.
Why This Office Matters to Taxpayers and Local Government
The Mesa County Treasurer’s Office is more than just a desk job — it’s the financial backbone of county government. Every dollar collected in property taxes and public revenue flows through this office before reaching the services and infrastructure our community depends on.
For taxpayers, this office is your first line of defense against waste, mismanagement, and bloated bureaucracy. The Treasurer is responsible for:
Safeguarding your tax dollars
Collecting and distributing revenues to local entities like schools, fire districts, and municipalities
Ensuring timely, transparent financial reporting
Managing county investments responsibly and conservatively
When this office runs efficiently and with integrity, local government can function as it should — funding law enforcement, roads, education, and emergency services without overburdening taxpayers.
That’s why this office matters. And it’s why we need a Treasurer who will bring business experience, conservative principles, and a deep respect for the taxpayer into every decision.
A Letter to Mesa County Delegates & Supporters,
Thank you for your willingness to serve as a delegate. The caucus and assembly process matters, and I respect the time and effort it takes to participate thoughtfully.
I am running for Mesa County Treasurer because I believe this office requires serious preparation, steady leadership, and long-term commitment.
The Treasurer’s Office is not simply about understanding property taxes or statutes. It is about running an entire department that serves thousands of taxpayers every year. It requires managing employees, overseeing budgets, implementing complex software systems, maintaining accurate workflows, and ensuring that the office operates efficiently, transparently, and within its financial constraints.
That is how I have approached this race.
For more than a year and a half, I have intentionally prepared for this role. I’ve had conversations with our former Mesa County Treasurer, spent time with our current Assessor discussing office coordination, and, as a private citizen, assisted with interviews for a Treasurer’s Office position to better understand internal operations. I’ve also spent time studying the Tyler Technologies Treasurer's software system, scheduled for implementation in 2027, knowing that this transition will be one of the more important challenges the office faces.
Professionally, I’ve spent over 20 years owning and operating a local business here in Mesa County. I manage payroll, budgets, employees, and day-to-day operations. I have served as Treasurer on multiple boards and helped guide the Colorado Chiropractic Association out of a serious financial crisis and back to stability. Fiscal discipline, accountability, and follow-through are not abstract ideas to me; they are how I live and work.
I was born and raised here. I built my business here. My family is here. And when I commit to something, I commit fully and see it through.
This position is not just a job for me. It is a responsibility I have prepared for and one I intend to carry with care, consistency, and integrity.
Respectfully,
Candidate for Mesa County Treasurer
